The Technology Strategist (OCTO) role combines industry expertise and application knowledge with innovative business and technology solutions to help clients harness the value of information across the enterprise. Acting as a local extension of the Office of CTO, the Technology Strategist (OCTO) provides innovative thought, strategic guidance, and technology expertise to help clients exploit information to its maximum potential and accelerate their journey to “Cloud Right” models.

Driving Digital Transformation through agile, secure, multi-cloud infrastructure. Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate solution, service, or managed service solutions. I maintain a targeted understanding of customers’ business showing the ability to establish customer needs, buying cycles, and craft positive relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business. Meeting or exceed ACV (Annual Contract Value) goals as defined by management and adhering to sales process including pipeline development and accurate forecasting via internal tools.

I manage the adoption of Red Hat's cloud solutions and own the overall outcome for the sales of cloud offerings, collaborating closely with the account teams across the Federal Government. Enabled Red Hat's major customers to define, develop, and deploy their modern cloud strategies by collaborating with key account managers, solution architects, and our partner ecosystem.

Having previously advised multiple Government agencies on technical and scientific matters while working at MITRE, this gave me the balance of technical expertise and deep understanding of business processes & IT problems faced at the enterprise level. Which made me well suited to architect modern solutions based off 100% Open Source Red Hat software. I work with C-level executives to help them craft IT strategy and direction for their organization. I help educate our partners and Systems Integrators SI understand our technology by providing briefings, workshops, and speaking at conferences.
