About Brad Swebeck
Employment lawyer and industrial relations advisor to private and public sector employers. Started career with a NSW employer organisation as an industrial advocate and legal advisor. Legal partner with Andersen Legal in 1994, part of the Andersen Worldwide Human Capital Services global network of labour lawyers, human resources and business consultants. In early 2014, joined HWL Ebsworth Lawyers and is a Sydney capital partner in its national Workplace Relations and Safety Group. He advises and assists private and public sector employers on all aspects of employment/workplace law. Also advocates before the Fair Work Commission, Federal Court, NSW Industrial Relations Commission, Australian Human Rights Commission, District, NSW Supreme Court and Local Court defending unfair dismissal claims, general protection claims, bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination claims, SafeWork prosecutions, underpayment claims, Ombudsman investigations, and unlawful termination claims. Also retained by public and private sector employers to conduct serious misconduct workplace investigations, change poor performance or toxic workplace cultures, and, advise on how to effectively manage long term ill or injured employees. The expertise extends to enterprise bargaining, wage audits and award compliance, due diligence, restraint of trade enforcement, HR policy development, workplace management training, and, resolving industrial disputes with unions. Co-authored "Enterprise Bargaining - A Practical Approach" by Federation Press which has been well received over many years. Brad was named as a standout lawyer for 2024 by Thomson Reuters.
