Primary Duties:- Develop the design and supporting calculations for HVAC systems supporting a national security critical facility. Calculations include airflow, heating and cooling loads, fan static pressure, and equipment sizing.- Originate Airflow Diagrams and Ventilation and Instrumentation Diagrams in support of the above mentioned system design.- Develop and write System Design Descriptions for use by Plant Operations. Regularly interfaced with craft personnel to provide guidance.Significant Accomplishments:- Performed final analyses and paperwork roll-up for turnover of the reactor cooling system from designengineering to startup engineering on time and with a 100% quality control acceptance rate.- Participated on a team that analyzed all containment building penetrations for adequate flood, fire, and radiation protection. Changed several seals that could have lead to significant safety issues.- Participated on the team to support the first Hot Functional Test of a nuclear plant in the United States since 1996.
Environmental / Nuclear Staff Engineer

The paper was given the Bechtel Outstanding Technical Paper Award for 2013.- Authored a section of the Safety Analysis Report for the North Anna Unit 3 operating license.
