During this internship I was placed in the Maintenance Engineering and Utilities (MEU) department. While in this department I was able to work closely with managers in the departments that keep the plant afloat. These departments included HVAC, Mobile Equipment, Crane Repair, and Labors. Each of these departments allowed me to work on a project that would either make the job easier to do or easier to track. A key project that was worked on was the development of a system to track repairs on cranes and HVAC units. This required the use of excel to create a baseline model of what the program should be able to produce. Once completed then IT would then help in coding the electronic system. This system would allow for the service technicians to select which crane or unit was being worked on and then select through menus to signify what part was being worked on and write descriptions on the work being done.
