I am currently working as a Services Engagement Manager at SUSE, a leader in open source software services. I have quickly moved up in positions at SUSE, transitioning from a service delivery role. As a Service Engagement Manager I work closely with our account executives to strategically position professional services for key customers. I manage the presentation and positioning of the services that best fit our customers' needs, and I support the scoping and preparation of technical consulting engagements. This role has promoted my development in relationship management (both internally and externally), organization, and project management. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Global Supply Chain Management. A Supply Chain degree may not seem directly correlated to my current role in services, but my college experience has been highly valuable to my success at SUSE. Supply Chain is the business of relationships, and my current role is all about creating a co-productive process of value—where both SUSE and our customers grow together by providing customized service offerings and delivering astounding technical support. I am grateful for my education and past work experiences in supply chain, and feel it has opened many doors and helped me develop a broad set of skills to that add value to many different organizations and roles. I love to learn and I learn quickly; so I am always open to a new challenge that will push my capabilities and further the mission and goals of an organization. I have learned to fail fast in the learning process, as I swiftly absorb insight and criticism to streamline the improvement process for myself and the environment I am working in.
