Achieved lifelong ambition of traveling the world with my wife. We cast-off in Oceania before voyaging through Asia and Europe. In total, we traveled for ten months while visiting 30 countries and taking over 12,000 photos.

A unique health and wellness clinic on the cutting edge of medical weight management. At SPM my role included overseeing the exercise division and also medical/office operations. Exercise Division- Managed exercise program for entire patient population: assessed fitness levels, developed training programs and monitored progress.- Performed over 200 successful metabolic tests including but not limited to: VO2 max, aerobic and anaerobic threshold, sprint lactate, resting metabolic rate and strength assessment. - Coordinated and managed vendor relationships.- Supervised comprehensive firefighter wellness examinations for local department. This included full range of health metrics, lifestyle risk analysis and future implementation strategies.- Conducted two research studies: 1) energy intake on post exercise metabolism 2) six week incline bicycle training protocol involving over 200 total subject sessions.Medical/Office Operations- Responsible for onboarding four employees within an 18 month period in three different positions.- Utilized Quickbooks software daily to track patient payments, revenue and deposits.- Functioned as mediator between insurance companies, pharmacies and our office.- Triaged and delegated patient issues effectively to other staff members and physician.- Managed in-house database records by accurately transferring patient information to electronic systems.- Resolved patient prescription issues and served as primary point of contact for pharmacies. - Ensured patient care was enhanced at every opportunity by effectively handling issues arising in areas including: pharmacy, billing, blood work, insurance, medical plan changes and implementation.- Designed patient record organization and management processes which streamlined day-to-day office operations. - Processed patient's blood work for third part analysis. - Completed on average 60 patient calls weekly to ensure all appointments were filled and present.

- Taught undergraduate students in a range of physical activity classes from advanced soccer and resistance training to ultimate frisbee and racquetball. - Developed effective communication strategies for speaking to large groups and individuals with varying education levels and cultural backgrounds.- Developed lesson plans and coursework that engaged students throughout the semester. - Improved the fundamental skill set of students through proper drills and instruction. - Provided valuable bi-weekly feedback and monthly grades to all students.

- Developed successful program for sedentary employees helping to correct muscle imbalances, improve flexibility and increase physical activity. - Performed basic health screenings identifying prospective member risk levels which included: blood pressure, body mass index and a health history questionnaire. - Provided instruction, clarification, advice and training plans to all members. - Identified strengths and weaknesses of individual members through comprehensive fitness evaluations. - Prescribed and implemented tailored exercise programs based on needs analysis.- Conducted personal training sessions.- Organized and officiated successful employee soccer tournament and weekly lunchtime games.
