I was In Charge of Functional Safety at Canoo, evaluating the robustness and ISO26262 compliance for their Lifestyle EV. I was the Manager of Trajectory Analysis at SpaceX. I oversaw the design, test, and rollout of all destruct criteria mission rules loaded on the first autonomous flight termination system ever fielded on an orbital class launch vehicle. I oversaw the flight safety strategy for gaining approval to land-land the first Falcon 9 booster in 2015. I oversaw the flight safety strategy for the first launch of the Falcon Heavy vehicle in 2017, including the dual-booster landing performed as part of the mission. I oversaw the flight safety strategy for the first launches of both the version 1.1 and full-thrust variants of the Falcon 9 booster. I worked on the Chief Engineering team under Dr. Hans Koenigsmann, which owned vehicle risk and anomaly resolution. I oversaw the change management system from 2012 through 2014. I aided the Launch Chief Engineer in day-of-launch operations for Falcon missions. I also worked Dragon mission ops in the Mission Assurance role for Dragon's first mission to station in 2012.In my 8.5 years at SpaceX I worked on 81 launches of the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy vehicles, and a variety of test flights of early prototype vehicles for the Starship design.I began my career as a Trajectory Analyst at L-3 Communications in 2008 which introduced me to the space industry through the Atlas V and Delta IV programs.
