As a Development Associate with Hospice Austin, my responsibilities primarily are inclusive of maintaining a donor database utilizing Raiser's Edge by Blackbaud. I serve as the first point of contact with our donors, and answer any questions that they may have about our services or ways that they can support us. My role as system administrator for our database software involves supporting my team with any issues that may arise with the program. Within my department, I also fulfill technical support responsibilities and assist my coworkers with troubleshooting any issues that they may have with any software or hardware that they may be using.

Given my managerial experience within Geek Squad, I was presented with the opportunity to assist another precinct's performance from within. I assumed the traditional responsibilities of the role as I had before, in addition to providing support to the store's management team and existing Geek Squad Supervisor at times.

Wichita Falls, Texas Area

As the Supervisor of my store's Geek Squad, I was responsible for conducting an analysis of company scorecards to recognize opportunities in performance to create a high-class and consistent experience for our clients. Each Agent that I was responsible for received direct coaching to recognize behavioral opportunities and celebrate strengths. Any and all issues within the department were escalated to me to resolve in a timely and professional manner. I was also responsible for managing labor costs and hiring processes for both the Geek Squad Precinct and Autotech Bay.

Wichita Falls, Texas Area

Advanced Repair Agents are responsible for all repair work performed within their Best Buy location, primarily servicing computers, tablets, phones, and televisions. A significantly broad understanding of technology is required in order to successfully identify root causes of problems across an always-expanding product base. Client satisfaction is a huge priority, and maintaining a consistently positive experience means following up with clients as repairs progress, communicating issues in a way that is friendly and understandable, and making sure that work is done right the first time. The most typical work that I was responsible for in this position was virus removal, system optimization, system upgrades, and hardware servicing that ranged anywhere from helping a client construct a computer from the ground up, to replacing any inoperable or faulty components within a product.
