Supervise 17 part time student employees who support a customer base of 2500 students living in campus residence halls with services including network operation, antivirus software, cleansing machines of viruses and spyware, and operating help desk. Direct a 5 member management team which meets periodically to discuss improvements we can make and to hear new proposals. Current projects include: * A redesign of the user interface for the administration system, database restructuring to allow room for growth and the design and deployment of a knowledge base. New projects that have been implemented since I became Senior Manager include: * Creation of a new website with extended tutorials. * Upgraded the current administration system: adding an error logging profile for each Customer. * Upgraded the quarantine process: Created new straightforward error messages that contain self-help links and developed a new process for Macintosh users. * Upgraded to the online registration system: on signup the program emails the user fundamental information about their account and network setup instructions.

Promoted from Support Technician. Developed projects to improve two weaknesses of ResNet; student training and the computer repair division. * Developed and implemented a Mentoring system to enhance employee training. The mentoring system worked by deferring more permissions and responsibilities to the management team, enabling information about ResNet's systems and procedures to be taught to all employees at a much faster rate. This increased employee proficiency and productivity by giving employees a broader knowledge base enabling a team problem solving environment rather than being directed to the senior manager. * Created and implemented a three step process to improve computer repair efficiency. Developed a simple to use interface for logging computer information and accessories, followed by introduction of a Disclaimer system that insured that any previous computer damage was logged and that the computer information entered in first step was correct. Finally, separated the repair area from the telephone support area. This solution was implemented in fall of 2005 and during that time we serviced 400 computer and we only had 1 incident of lost data and no incidents of lost items or unfounded damages claims against ResNet.

Troubleshot computer related issues by phone or in person. Gained more responsibility each semester. My first semester my tasks consisted of answering phones and fixing computers in the computer repair area. My second semester I started updating office procedure, my third semester I progressed to updating the website and created a web interface for ResNet's Computer Quarantine process. By the end my fourth semester I recreated ResNet's Online Registration system. Trained new student employees in person and by updating FAQ's. * Before I recreated the online registration, I took into account all complaints, suggestions and errors, and then simplified the process. When the program was rolled out in fall 2005, errors and calls concerning the process were virtually eliminated.
