Lead Horticulture Specialist
Current- Oversee plant inventory and health at Little Red Wagon Native Nursery, coordinating staff and maintaining optimal care for hundreds of native plant species.- Provide in depth education to a wide range of audiences about the importance of native plants in urban landscapes, focusing on wildlife, human health, and sustainable landscaping.- Lead educational programs for students K-5, engage in public outreach, and represent the organization at various events, summits, and expositions such as the Florida Planning Conference and the Florida Association of Native Nurseries.- Manage volunteer events, collaborate with organizations such as the City of Tampa, the Florida Aquarium, and Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots, and oversee pollinator gardens in the Tampa Bay area.- Contribute to scientific data collection and communication projects, includingbutterfly population monitoring for the North American Butterfly Association.
