The Pentecostal Holiness House of Prayer Church is a church in Wellston, Ohio, my hometown, that serves the local community in many different fashions.My role within the Pentecostal Holiness House of Prayer Church is a Custodian. I keep the church and fellowship hall clean and prepared for all services and events plus help with any repairs needed and projects that take place.Besides cleaning I work with the Pastor to find the most cost effective methods and products to make sure that the church remains as clean as possible while keeping the expenses as low as possible. An example of this is when I researched the cost of new paper towel and soap dispensers and compared it to the price of new ones plus the cost of soap and paper towel consumption, I found that in under a year of installation, the savings in the amount of soap and paper towels used would pay for the price of the new dispensers and more. The annual savings is around $125.For me, organization and cleanliness in the workplace are very important factors in success. The opportunity to keep the church clean is a satisfying as I can see the results of my work and know the benefit it brings.

During the summer of 2021, I remotely joined a venue startup located in Big Sandy, Texas. The venue was a cottage that sat on a ranch with its own private pond. Our goal was to have the venue operational by the end of the summer, in which we did accomplish! Circle M Tiny Homes Ranch has multiple Tiny Homes located both around the lake and off of the lake plus a Ranch Home that can be reserved on the AirBnB platform. The venue is also able to be reserved for both large and small weddings and banquets where the guests can then stay in the tiny homes after the special occasion.At Circle M Tiny Homes Ranch, I was the sole employee as I worked alongside the startup's owner. My role as Lead Marketing Researcher was to identify the current market of AirBnB lodgings and venues in the area surrounding its location in Big Sandy, Texas. After identifying the local market, I was tasked with finding their pricing strategies and marketing strategies then construct our own competitive pricing strategy and enticing marketing strategy. The role called for strong dedication as the position had no set schedule to work, so I made my own schedule and ensured all of my deliverables were thoroughly completed and turned in ahead of their deadline. This transformed our goal of opening by the end of summer to an absolute expectation around halfway through the internship.This internship required that I have the drive and determination to perform with close to no supervision at a high degree and still accomplish what is needed of me. I studied my superior, the owner of the venue, closely and absorbed all the tips and pointers on leading and operating an organization that he passed on to me.

:Hire is a staffing company that helps businesses in south eastern Ohio find candidates for roles that they need filled.I was a Medical Screener for :Hire and I screened at a local food factory called Bellisio Foods. I screened factory workers for symptoms of COVID-19, trained new screeners, and answered any questions those I screened had about COVID-19 and Bellisio Foods' health protocols.During my time with :Hire, I was referred to as one of the top screeners who was always prepared to help coworkers with any questions or difficulties that arose with the job. On an average day, I scanned around 200-250 factory workers. I am very thankful for the position as it gave me the opportunity to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
