My role as Yard Manager at Studland Trekking Centre saw me taking on the higher-level responsibilities involved with running a trekking centre with such a high reputation (Trip Advisor Centre of Excellence 2014 – 2021), high demand and high expectations. Due to new ownership and the coronavirus pandemic, my job included:* Customer service along with all parts of the customer journey from booking to experience* Sole charge of marketing, emails, social media and review sites* Horse management, including health, worming programmes, saddler visits, farrier and vet etc.* Sole responsibility of maintaining current processes and procedures to fall in line with a change in riding establishment legislation* Sole charge of managing and maintaining the website, ensuring all information is current.* Pasture and land management * Equipment, tack and stock management* Full responsibility for ensuring livery and working livery owners are ‘in the loop’ at all times with work levels, turn out etc.* Maintaining the incoming through rides and livery to aid with accounts.During my tenure, I implemented an online payment system to allow more time for other jobs, as previously the booking process required the clients to call and disclose personal card information over the phone. With changing this process, I have ensured that the business holds no personal account information making the business PCI complaint and within GDPR legislation.
