I partner with two analysts reporting into me as well as our plant controllers, BPO partner, and business finance team members to ensure proper accounting for our $4 billion Roofing business unit, and report into the Director of Accounting for the Americas region. Within this role I am responsible for complex and subjective balance sheet areas including customer rebate accruals, inventory valuation, and warranty reserves as well as revenue recognition for our extended warranty sales. I also am responsible for leading our month-end and quarter-end close processes and for leading our business's quarterly balance sheet review with the VP Corporate Controller. To achieve results, I partner cross-functionally with others within the business unit and with other corporate accounting teams.

I was responsible for enterprise-wide balance sheet and cash flow forecasting as well as calculating and monitoring our Earnings per Share, Free Cash Flow and Return on Capital metrics. These forecasting responsibilities required my understanding both the business drivers and the GAAP accounting behind these balances. While my role focused on balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, I also became very familiar with with the macro and business drivers behind our P&L forecasting and variances to forecast for each of our businesses. In addition to my performing ad hoc financial analysis to drive VP and CFO decisions, I was responsible for supporting the communication of financial results to executive management and our Board of Directors, supporting our Corporate Strategy and Comp & Benefits teams from an FP&A perspective, and running point on the financials behind our company's strategic long-range plan.

I was responsible for leading plant audits and process assessments that covered the FP&A, Pricing, Supply Chain, Accounting, Treasury, Sourcing, HR, and IT functions, supervising teams of 2-5 auditors. Obtained global experience through on-site audits in EU & AP regions and remote audits covering the EU, AP, & LATAM regions.

I was responsible for performing a variety of operational audits and process improvement audits throughout the company. In addition to having tested the effectiveness of financial and operational controls at a number of facilities throughout the company, I played an integral role in process improvement audits focused on a variety of areas including inventory management, global account reconciliation procedures, and customer rebates.

In my capacity as an audit manager, I was responsible for planning, preparing audit procedures for more complex audit areas, reporting, and supervising less experienced staff. My experience included financial statement audits and reviews as well as internal audit outsourcing and SOC 1 audits. I primarily served financial institutions (concentrating in community banks) and manufacturing companies. My experience also included leading the external audit of an SEC registrant, including reviewing their 10-K and 10-Q filings. I also was used as an instructor for firmwide training. Previously was promoted from audit associate and senior audit associate while at the firm.

In my capacity as a senior audit associate, I was responsible for preparing audit procedures for various areas (including some more complex audit areas) and also was sometimes responsible for planning and reporting. My experience included financial statement audits and reviews as well as internal audit outsourcing and SOC 1 audits. I primarily served financial institutions (concentrating in community banks) and manufacturing companies. My experience also included serving as the in-charge on the external audit of an SEC registrant. I also was used as an instructor for firmwide training.

In my capacity as an audit associate, I was responsible for preparing audit procedures for various areas. My experience included financial statement audits and reviews as well as internal audit outsourcing and SOC 1 audits. I primarily served financial institutions (concentrating in community banks) and manufacturing companies. My experience also working on the external audit of an SEC registrant.
