As a kid, I always wanted to invent things that improved people's lives. I suppose six-year-old me wasn't far off! I have been programming for nearly a decade now. I began as a self-taught programmer using Java for personal projects in seventh grade, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kansas State University in 2020.I have worked on several projects in my time at college, including my most recent one, which is a frontend program for analyzing images taken from a drone of a target on the ground. Upon graduating, I accepted a position at VIAVI Solutions, LLC, working on radio test and alignment automation using Python. There, I was the primary developer in charge of integrating Icom 7000- and 7500-series radios into the test program. I then accepted a position at Textron Aviation, Inc. as a software engineer in the Instrumentation Group, which I currently hold. I work on applications that supported the collection and processing of real-time instrumentation data from experimental aircraft. These are applications written in C# using Windows Presentation Framework.I like to occupy my admittedly limited spare time with volunteer service, usually with Civil Air Patrol, the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. It's not unheard of for me to shuffle around my personal time to attend a training mission or multitask my evenings away with my various duties. I am also a private pilot.I am proficient using C, C#, Python, Java, Rust, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML/CSS, and various implementations of SQL.
