• Improving energy efficiency at the level of SEVAM, especially the Glass Furnace unit. It aims to reduce the fuel consumption and improve the old process already used in this plant ;• Establishing Heat balance of the furnace and the forehearths in order to determine the losses;• Suggesting some solutions to improve energy efficiency: recovery of exhaust gas to heat the fuel and the batch of raw material;• Optimization of excess air for combustion and the cullet rate (recycled glass) in the batch ;• Improving the Insulation of the furnace and the forehearths;• Optimization of the burners positions along the forehearths;• Economic valuation of the solutions suggested.
