Coordinate and supervise vendors or contractors in performing repairs, maintenance or upgrades of equipment and systemsStock and maintain spares of consumable for equipment IE filters, belts, lightbulbs, motors, parts for equipment etcIdentify quality and safety risks in the building then address them and fix them. Engage in the start up and obtaining training for new equipment and practices around the workplace. To support other projects and sectors of the business.Responsibilities for installing and maintaining and operating equipment includes but is not limited to; HVAC, boilers, heat rads/ valences, air filtration and circulation systems, chillers, cooling towers, furnaces, ductless heat pumps, fireplaces, compressors, circulation pumps, large diesel generator, wast water/ grease traps, industrial ovens, stoves, steamers, pot washers various kitchen equipment as well as chemical treatment and testing for closed loop and open loop systems and waist disposal. I am also responsible for maintaining the buildings looks and structure like paint, drywall/mud, general electrical, flooring, door, window, and glass repairs as well fixing residence broken belongings and mobility devices.I am on call for emergencies and snow events twenty-four seven every fourth week.

I started at Causyns Cooling And Heating pretty green to the trade only having my knowledge from school and of water heater installation from my previous job as an installer for Perras Mechanical I was very proficient at installing water heaters but not much else. I quickly learned how to install multiple different types of equipment like but not limited to gas/ water furnaces, A/C, heat pumps, ventilation/ exhaust fans, ductwork, boilers, humidifiers, automated home systems to control the hvac system etc. Learning how to do a proper installation helped me move into a larger role in the company becoming a service technician where I excelled and fixed equipment that multiple different companies and tradesmen have looked at in the past but could not solve. Sometimes working fifteen+ hour shifts in the busy seasons when people needed heat.I attribute my success to patients, a good work ethic, keeping an open mind, communication skills, knowledge of the code, proper installation procedures and the knowledgable connections I made along the way. From there I naturally evolved to selling people equipment and getting measurement and information needed to order and install new equipment in the business or residence in which I was working. This job was a great stepping stone in my quest for knowledge and I am honoured to have gotten to work there.

I started off Greener then a granny smith apple when it comes to gas work only knowing common sense and basic codes and installations I learned from school. We mainly installed hot water heaters I grasped quickly the ebb and flow of the job learning how to install electric and gas fired hot water heaters. I quickly proved myself as a competent installer and earned my own installation truck and trainer for new employees having two men working underneath me on a job. I was responsible for stalking the truck full of the materials needed for the jobs. I was sent with paper work describing the job, address, people to talk to ( on sight Forman ) and specific specifications of the job that needed to be fallowed as well as the time line the job needed to be done. Often times I got the job done ahead of schedule with little or no call backs and complications.
