Facilities System Technician
CurrentThis position requires a wide rang of mechanical and interpersonal knowledge with a self starting and positive attitude.Coordinate and perform hands on tasks like regular preventative maintenance, installations, of new equipment and trouble shooting. Coordinate and supervise vendors or contractors in performing repairs, maintenance or upgrades of equipment and systemsStock and maintain spares of consumable for equipment IE filters, belts, lightbulbs, motors, parts for equipment etcIdentify quality and safety risks in the building then address them and fix them. Engage in the start up and obtaining training for new equipment and practices around the workplace. To support other projects and sectors of the business.Responsibilities for installing and maintaining and operating equipment includes but is not limited to; HVAC, boilers, heat rads/ valences, air filtration and circulation systems, chillers, cooling towers, furnaces, ductless heat pumps, fireplaces, compressors, circulation pumps, large diesel generator, wast water/ grease traps, industrial ovens, stoves, steamers, pot washers various kitchen equipment as well as chemical treatment and testing for closed loop and open loop systems and waist disposal. I am also responsible for maintaining the buildings looks and structure like paint, drywall/mud, general electrical, flooring, door, window, and glass repairs as well fixing residence broken belongings and mobility devices.I am on call for emergencies and snow events twenty-four seven every fourth week.
