About Brainard Carey
I am an artist,author, and mentor for artists. I work with my wife on different projects and books. I also lecture on art and art education. I founded and direct an online school for artists to develop their careers called Praxis Center for AestheticsMy art has been featured in the Whitney Biennial, and I have also had a solo show at the Whitney (commissioned) and other museums and galleries including MOMA, and venues in Europe.Currently my wife and I (Praxis) are running MONA, the Museum of Non-Visible Art, our conceptual art project and institution in the making. I am an author who has written three books for artists, Making it in the Art World, and New Markets for Artists and The Art World Demystified. And co-written with my wife are the two recently published books, The Art of Hugging and School of Wishing, all of which are on Amazon or hopefully at your bookstore. We are represented by the literary agent, Jennifer Lyons.Need Help?I am available to curate and consult artists and galleries on business and career management.
