Neuroscience 🧠 Genetic-Psychologie 🧬 Science Transfer for Learning & Development 👨‍🏫 Franz is a scientist, author, keynote speaker and consultant, focusing on translational science and humanities for changing organisations, leadership and learning & development. As a scientist, he is a post-doc researcher at the Institute of Pharmacogenetics at the University Hospital in Essen, Germany, where he does basic research on psychological and psychiatric genetics and teaches psychopharmacology, neuropharmacology, and scientific methodology. Being a strong believer in the importance of science outreach and transfer, he also teaches applied cognitive neuroscience at the University of Applied Management near Munich, acquainting young managers with the neuropsychology of learning, motivation, social bonding, stress management, and change. These topics are also the focus of BRAIN-HR, Franz's science training and consultancy business. Franz enjoys giving keynotes and conducting both online and offline workshops on translational science, especially for business leaders and human resource people. Franz holds a Master's degree in the Humanities (language and literature) and a doctorate in medical sciences. He is a certified master trainer and master coach for human resource learning & development and a licensed practitioner of psychotherapy. Apart from authoring cryptic science stuff, he wrote tree popular books and some 40 magazine articles on applied neuroscience for leaders and human resource folks.
