- Operational management: Lead a team of approx. 20 translators and work together to ensure that quality is delivered within the agreed deadlines, and to ensure we're doing the right things (being effective) the right way (being efficient)- Team management: Setting clear expectations and goals for the teams and individual team members, providing them with the support they need to meet those expectations and allowing them to develop into "the best possible version of themselves" by providing regular feedback and training, coaching and having one-on-one conversations (please also refer to the information below that describes what a translator at SDL/RWS does)- International/intercultural communication: Proactively and constructively collaborate with other departments and offices worldwide to learn from each other and to ensure that we, as a company, function optimally- Recruitment: Actively participating in the (creation of) recruitment procedures and also travelling to recruit new colleagues, for example by establishing contact with language/translation universities and by participating in language/translation events

- Translation: translate, post-edit and revise texts into Dutch, and deliver quality within the agreed deadlines- Project management: Managing all translation assignments into Dutch for various accounts and various content types (especially marketing and software for large multinationals), by handling smaller projects myself or by delegating them to colleagues, and by outsourcing larger projects to external suppliers (freelance translators)- Process management and quality management: Manage and optimize translation memories, terminology, technology, instructions etc. for the above accounts, and communication with all parties involved to consistently deliver the best possible results- Optimize profitability by increasing effectiveness (ensuring we're all doing the right things) and increasing efficiency (making sure we're all doing them the right way)
