Bram started his professional career at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and eBay. In 2009 he moved back to the Netherlands to fulfill his entrepreneurial dream and founded Harvest. In four years the company grew rapidly in number of consultants, revenue, clients and knowledge, becoming a European market leader in online strategy and monetization. In 2013 Harvest got acquired by Naspers, an international media company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).The acquisition of Harvest was the beginning of a new adventure in Bram's career: COO at OLX in Buenos Aires. As COO Bram manages all operations and product, while also being P&L responsible for the key markets in OLX portfolio; India, Brasil and South Africa. His final position within Naspers was working as Business Improvement Leader based from the Netherlands.In 2015 he decided to on a career shift and started working as an artist under the pseudonym Edward Bernsteyn. By means of self-study and a group of mentors, Bram developed himself into an early-stage-autonomous- artist. Bram was in the spotlight for the first time in 2016 with his 'Apping glow in the dark gnome installations'. He likes to exhibit outside the regular circuit, with his latest solo exhibition 'Orphans' at the World Trade Center in Amsterdam as a latest example. This is also the exhibition where Bram Ellens says goodbye to his pseudonym Edward and starts working and exhibiting under his own name again.Bram works at Bloom studios in Weesp, and had some tropical sun in the middle of 2018 while working from Curaçao at the Instituto Buena Bista. His latest exhibitions include Watou (Belgium) where the Orphans and Inevitability was displayed and het HEM (Zaanstad) where the Mad King in chains from his Robot in Captivity series was shown. 2021 is taking off like a rocket with exhibitions in London, Lowlands and a solo exhibition and Lab at Buitenplaats Doornburgh, while on top of that founding the European Lab for Robotics in Art and theater together with professor Maaike Bleeker, Engineer Rick van Dugteren and theater awesomeness Ulrike Quade. In 2023 Bram has acquired the theater rights of "Robot van de Rommelmarkt", a story by Tonke Draft. In January 2025 this music theater production will premiere at Concertgebouw Amsterdam. So yes,Bram just became a theater producer as well. Lovely!In this play the Kuka KR10 (used in many of his art installations) will play the leading role.
