I started my professional career in 2000 as a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Lab at the University of Brussels and in 2006 I obtained a Ph.D. in Science (Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence). In 2006, I started working as a management consultant specializing in process optimization, organizational design and change management. In 2012, I recovered my Machine Learning roots by taking up the challenge to setup a data science team and offering for AE. In 2019, I took the initiative to develop and commercialize an AI technology stack specifically aimed at the automation of complex document-driven processes. This eventually led to the development of our own SaaS solution focused at automating the process for declaring goods to customs. In 2023 we decided to create Customaite as a seperate brand for our customs automation solution. Today I take on the role of Chief Product Officer at Customaite.
