As operational manager, I am part of the Vimec management team and responsible for supply chain, projects and systems delivery. In this position, I have a responsibility for the P&L, in particular regarding cost control. Heading a team of 12 persons, I ensure on-time delivery of systems according to our high-quality standards. I am part of the management team and in this role responsible for the daily business at Vimec.On an ad interim basis, I have been managing and leading the service team as well. This entails service planning, setting up a ticketing system and work flow according to the Kanban methodology, and managing non-quality issues.Vimec is a leader in Glass Inspection and Monitoring Solutions for the world-wide industry of packaging glass. In this market, we are dedicated to designing, building and validating superior visual inspection systems. Since June 2021, Vimec is part of the Kestrel Vision Group.

I was part of the Core3-management team of Vimec, contributing to order intake and realization of net sales. I managed a few large projects myself regarding the development and delivery of inspection systems for pharmaceutical glass.

I joined Beltech BV - under the umbrella of Kind Technologies - to be involved with really interesting technical content: machine vision. My role was versatile and multidisciplinary, as I was dealing with software/hardware/electrical engineering, machine vision, procurement, support, sales and of course project management. My main responsibility was the product development, support and assembly of smart cameras for automatic license plate recognition and related functionalities. Moreover, I was responsible for communications with the key customer.

Hired by VDL Enabling Transport Solutions (ETS), I have introduced the Scrum Agile methodology in order to enhance efficiency, planning and monitoring of software development projects in the automotive industry. I managed short-term software projects and support activities regarding e-mobility, i.e. electrical buses in public transport. Furthermore I contributed to the quality processes at VDL ETS.

As head of the Project Office of GenKey, a biometric solutions company targeting on emerging countries, I was responsible for the definition and improvement of the project process and administration at Genkey offices in Ghana and Eindhoven. From the back-office in Eindhoven, I have been supporting the on-site project manager with quality assurance, requirements engineering and procurement activities for example. Furthermore, I managed projects in the field of finger print matching and biometric ID in various African countries myself. This required close cooperation with South African partners and on-site presence for deployment.

Project management of high-tech, international software development projects in the area of automated sorting of postal items in the logistics industry, with budget sizes of 100k up to a few million euro. Cooperation with several major companies, like Siemens, for several international end-users, e.g. USA, Israel, Morocco, Australia and Ireland. My successful project deliveries have led to high customer satisfaction and sustainable customer relationships.Improving the project process has been a constant point of focus. I incorporated parts of the Prince2 standard to create a high quality level of the project process. The quality standard of the software development process was equal to CMMI level 2. Furthermore, I contributed to the ISO quality process of the project process and software process within Prime Vision, for example by setting up a process for issue and release management.Technical account management was part of my role by supporting the sales team in the presales phase with proposals, activity an cost estimations, demonstrations and presentations.

Technical sales support, for example by means of demonstrations and presentations. Contribution to the pre-sales stage by writing proposals and performing activity and cost estimations for several international customers. I have built long lasting account relationships. I was part of several bidding teams acquiring contracts with Australia Post and Irish Post to mention the largest ones. For some proposals, I was in lead of the bidding team, e.g. several opportunities within PostNL. I managed independently the account relationship with an American partner, which resulted for example in gaining the business of Morocco Post.

Project management of several innovative projects for PostNL regarding automatic recognition and video coding of addresses on postal items. I combined the role of project manager and lead R&D engineer and was author of several proposals resulting in new business.

Development and improvement of pattern recognition and image processing techniques, for automatic recognition of both handwritten and machine printed text on forms and postal items. I fulfilled the role of lead engineer in several R&D projects for PostNL.
