About Branden Coluccio

RECENT CASE STUDY:Tech-enabled training company originally generating low-six figures in profit.18 Month Report:Revenue: Increased by 440% YoYAdjusted EBITDA: Approaching $1M (a 10x increase over 18 months)Valuation: From Unsalable to $4-6M and Growing!Plain and simple: I turn talented business owners into deca-millionaires. I do this by creating institutional quality assets that maximize enterprise value, so when it comes time to exit, we attract the attention of major acquirers. My approach isn’t just theory. I’ve achieved it multiple times. At 29, I’d sold a healthcare start-up, for $66.5 million, three years after its inception. Plus, I have been part of multiple eight-figure transactions in M&A advisory and Private Equity. The entrepreneurial roller-coaster taught me that most business owners don't understand enterprise value or how to maximize it. Each business needs a dedicated person focused on building for exit, no matter how far off you think it might be.Too many business owners assume that if their business is established and profitable, it will attract a line of buyers. Not. True. The cold reality is that most businesses are unsalable, and if they do sell, they sell below their potential value, at a price that doesn’t reflect the blood, sweat and sacrifice that went into it.This is the problem I solve.Relentless Ventures partners with business owners who want to grow their businesses to new levels and execute their dream exit, either sometime soon or years in the future. We don’t just tell you what to do, we execute WITH you!Just like Marcus Lemonis in the Profit, I'm an investor and an entrepreneur-in-residence. We structure our deals so we both have skin in the game. I use my knowledge, experience, and my 9-figure Rolodex to bring the right people and resources around you so we can complete the exit we both want.If you’re looking to exit your business in the next five years, and want to maximize its value, book a call with me here - http://calendly.com/relentless_venturesBut let’s cut to the chase. Just like any other entrepreneur, I have also experienced failure. I don’t hide it as I believe failure is the fuel of life and it’s how we respond in these moments that show us who we truly are.

Success stories shape the way we see the world and what we think is possible. They inspire us. But they only tell the end of the story - the road along the way is often more painful and tumultuous. On the Convictions Podcast, we turn the success formula upside down by delving deep into our guest’s experiences and drawing out the humanity in each story. We dig into the pain, and why anyone, no matter their circumstances, can change their life and overcome. My guests are all people who have experienced the highs of massive financial success, but also near-total loss and deep struggle. From financial upheaval, homelessness, divorce, to imprisonment, I dig deep into the emotion and pain of each experience and the valuable lessons learned within. I believe failure is the fuel of life. What matters most is how we respond in our darkest moments that show us who we truly are. As you’ll see from my profile, I’ve had my own experiences of riding high on life and crashing hard. I'm proud to use my experience to inspire others to openly discuss their most embarrassing failures and find power in their pain.New episodes coming soon.
  • Convictions: The Book
    Author & Speaker
Convictions: The Book Jan 2023 - Present
In 2020, I plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud. I didn’t intend to, just as I didn’t intend to break the law. But I firmly believe that we must take full responsibility for the outcomes in our lives. From that moment, my deepest low, the worst place I'd ever been, I vowed to use this as an opportunity to become a better man. I had to be radically honest with myself about who I was and the choices that lead me there. At 29 years old, I was on top of the world. I sold a company for nearly $70 million and was well on my way to building an empire. My life had become a movie, and I was loving every minute of it. Then one day, in a moment, it all fell apart.I’ll never forget the sound of the cell door slamming behind me. It will haunt me for the rest of my life - the ultimate twist of fate. I'd never even been in hand-cuffs.The series of events that unfolded wiped out a decade of hard work and focused effort on trying to be a great man. I lost my reputation, my business, my freedom, and my confidence. But if you ask me what’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to me, it still wouldn’t be this.Locked in a cage alone, I learned that my mind and my spirit are my most valuable assets, and if I always look forward, no matter what happens, I will rise againRebuilding your life is hard. Some days one step feels like a thousand miles, but with radical honesty and determination, I've turned incredible adversity into my greatest asset. We are all so embarrassed to talk openly about our failures, our most heart-breaking defeats, and our setbacks. But why? All of us experience these events at some point – it’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when.In my book ‘Convictions’ I hope that by openly sharing my story and the lessons I’ve learned that I can be service to others who are fighting their own battles and looking for a path out of hell. My goal is to revitalize a dampened spirit, transform a mindset, and ultimately a life.
  • In-Mates To Entrepreneurs
    Entrepreneurship Coach
    In-Mates To Entrepreneurs Jun 2020 - Present
West Palm Beach, Florida, United States
When my life fell apart, I accidentally discovered my love for teaching and helping others. An experience I never thought I would have, but am immensely grateful for.Inmates to Entrepreneurs (I2E) is an organization I became involved with after I came home and wanted to continue to help those trying to turn their lives around. Every year 600,000 people leave prison and attempt to re-join their communities as productive members of society. Despite seeking employment at a higher rate than the general population, formerly incarcerated people are 50% less likely to get a job, and face unemployment rates five times the national average. Without a job or means of earning an income, many are forced to return to illegal activities just to survive. It’s no surprise that two-thirds find themselves back in prison within 3 years.I2E’s mission is to help justice impacted people turn their lives around with the power of entrepreneurship. Prison showed me a different side of life – a side that I never thought I would see. It was one of my life’s greatest experiences. I learned that I’m lucky. I was wealthy, educated, highly experienced, and knew how to create opportunities when I left prison. Despite the popular belief to the contrary, many people in prison want to do better. But so often they don’t know how. While in prison, I held regular workshops on business, entrepreneurship, finance, and personal growth. I also volunteered to help my fellow inmates earn their GEDs, draft resumes, and build release plans that would allow them to live a law-abiding life when they left prison. I wanted to help by imparting whatever knowledge I could offer, to give them a shot at changing their lives and become wealthy the right way.Returning to my normal life after prison, I didn’t want to leave this behind, so I joined I2E as a trainer and try to regularly give back to those that are seeking a better, law-abiding life through entrepreneurship.

Captiva Capital Partners was a commercial real estate development firm specialising in value-add and ground-up self-storage projects. During my time with the company, we successfully executed three major transactions working with high-net worth investors and private equity firms. Our largest transaction was sold for $24m in 2021. The company went on to complete various successful deals in the self-storage industry.
  • Cordam Group
    Private Equity Associate
    Cordam Group 2013 - 2015
    Philadelphia, Pa
Cordam Group is where I cut my teeth. As a small boutique private equity firm, I worked side-by-side with the Managing Director. This gave me first-hand exposure to private equity transactions well beyond my years. Our generalist portfolio included lower middle market deals in biotechnology, business services, and industrial services. My role was focused on deal origination, underwriting, and portfolio management. Organising initial meetings with targets, writing letters of intent, conducting financial analysis, managing relationships, meeting with investment bankers and auditors, and preparing offerings for raising capital. About two years in, I was approached by the founders of Liberation Behavioral Health to raise funding for their new start-up. When the terms of the deal could not be agreed upon, they approached me directly and asked if I'd like to become a co-owner on the contingency of raising funds for the new venture. I sought permission to pursue the deal from my mentor. He encouraged me to take the offer. To my surprise, he also became our first investor.
  • Velocity Biogroup, Llc
Director Of Business Development | M&A Advisory & Management Consulting
    Velocity Biogroup, Llc 2012 - 2013
    Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Velocity Bio Group is a pharmaceutical and biotech advisory firm specialising in contract sales, product development and drug pricing research. We also provided counsel for private equity firms and small biotechs wanting to acquire a particular drug or pharmaceutical asset from companies trying to divest them.As a small boutique management consulting firm, I had a front-row seat to many of the deals that passed through the company. Equipped with financial modelling skills and the entrepreneurial and investment expertise I was raised around, management recognised my potential and I spent most of my time meeting with top-level executives from major pharmaceutical and biotech companies around the world. Operating at this level developed my understanding of how to structure deals and present them to appeal to the interests of investors and high-level corporate executives.
