The Director of Strategic Partnerships is a key position within the company responsible for relations with our Speakers Team (whose success accounts for more than 90-percent of the company's revenue). Responsibilities include:• Regular communication and management with approximately 50 professional speakers• Assurance of quality relationships with speakers, problem solving when needed• Recruitment of new speakers and management of annual intake process• Training and development of speakers team, including development of webinars• Coaching new speakers toward success in their first year with the company• Planning and implementation of annual New Speaker Training events• Assistance to the sales team to handle any conflicts between speakers, staff, and customers• Planning, promotion and implementation of our annual College Speakers Academy conference• Development of speaker keynotes that will appeal to college audiences• Assistance to the marketing team to plan marketing strategies for all speakers• Enforcement of company standards with regard to provision of speaker services to customers• Representation of company at select Higher Education conferences

• Serve as the primary staff contact and support for client association volunteers and volunteer committees• Assist with the planning and on-site management of key Association conferences and meetings, with responsibility for special events and fundraising activities• Direct and implement all aspects of the client association's volunteer management plans including recognition, appointment, training, and evaluation• Develop strategies and streamlined processes that facilitate the identification of a broad and diverse pool of potential volunteers• Oversee the successful implementation of the nominating, appointment, and election process for volunteer positions and committees, including management of electronic voting systems• Facilitate a comprehensive orientation process for volunteers and volunteer committees• Coordinate various association award, assessment, and recognition programs• Manage the selection, training, and supervision of the undergraduate and graduate staff members for various conferences• Serve as one of the departmental points-of-contact to handle membership questions and general inquiries• Provide prompt, responsive, and professional customer service to all members and stakeholders• Represent association at key industry events through public speaking, exhibiting and direct sales activities• Served as Interim Director of Meetings & Events from April 2013 - July 2014
