Works independently or as a Process Team Leader to ensure execution of the process scope of services that meets customer's project requirements and complies with all applicable codes, ordinances, standards, and regulations. Develops engineering calculations for process throughput, mass/energy balance, equipment sizing, relief devices, heat transfer, and fluid transfer. Select proper equipment for the unit operations required by the process. Responsible for the development of Block Flow Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Develop or verify utility matrixes, equipment lists, equipment specifications, and controls as well as instrumentation requirements for each project. Work closely with designers for proper arrangement of equipment and piping to support the process and incorporate sound ergonomic principles. Responsible to produce well-organized, finished construction drawings of good appearance, accuracy, and clarity, in accordance with company or client CAD standards. Responsible for producing discipline construction material specifications and scope of work documents. Provide Construction Support through build phase of a project. Perform equipment submittal reviews and responds to the contractor and/or vendor Requests for Information. Perform bid analysis for vendor services or equipment quotes. Coordinates work with other disciplines. Assigns and monitors the tasks of junior engineers and designers. Creates a discipline work plan for assigned projects. Monitors workload status, advising supervisor of difficulties in accomplishing schedules. Assists in coordinating information with and monitoring efforts/costs of discipline-related outside consultants. Assist the project team in RFP responses, developing proposals including the preparation of conceptual estimates, schedules, and other proposal documents. Presents technical subjects through Lunch & Learns to enhance Process team knowledge and understanding.

Provide engineering support for troubleshooting in the batch production of alkylbenzene and sulfonation plant, developing capital project ideas, updating and maintaining engineering documentation (P&IDs, instrument spec sheets, etc) initiating optimization and equipment upgrade changes to the unit, and local process expert. Batch and continuous processing environment. PSM regulated. Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas for raw material and natural resources savings as well as batch time reduction. Participated in PHA revalidation. Worked with engineering and controls team to complete follow up items. Completed DCS modernization project from WonderWare to DeltaV as process engineering lead.
