• Manage all functions of the organization’s billing and revenue cycle to maximize cash flow. This includes the management of Certified Professional Coders, Insurance Follow-up Representatives, Credentialing, Payment.
• Provide, oversees, and/or coordinates the provision of training for new and existing billing staff on applicable operating policies, protocols, systems and procedures, standards, and techniques.
• Analyze trends impacting charges, coding, collections, and account receivable and take the appropriate action to realign staff and revise policies and procedures.
• Prepare and analyze staff production and quality, conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff for training.
• Completes annual evaluations of staff performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Ensure that the activities of the billing operations are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department protocol, and are in compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines, and.

• Manage a team of outsourced billing Clerks and serve as their direct contact and resource. Conduct quality control reviews of billing operations and provide constructive feedback as necessary.
• Oversee and analyze all insuance denial notification forms and act as a liason between billing and coding departments to validate claims and direct necessary billing or coding corrections.
• Coordinate with office managers and providers at all Graves Gilbert locations regarding any billing related issues.
• Meet quarterly with provider relations representatives to resolve any unpaid claims issues.

• Responsible for all patient accounts that have insurance coverage through Kentucky Medicaid or a Managed Care Organization (i.e., Aetna Better Health (formerly Coventry Cares), Wellcare, Passport, Anthem Medicaid and.
• Pursue all unpaid insurance claims for 10 physicians, 2 Physician Assistants and 9 Physical Therapist.
• Review upcoming appointments for two physicians on a daily basis to reconcile unpaid balances and verify current coverage
• Work closely with provider relations representatives to verify credentialing for all physicians and therapist to prevent and resolve claim issues.
