A Diversity Program & Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for creating and managing the visibility of AMCR Institue in public to build brand awareness within the community, and to coordinate clinical research study required marketing and Volunteer Database extension.

• Connected with community organizations to collaborate and provide support and resources for underserved Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) communities • Monitored social media and online sources for industry trends to help spread awareness and education for Type 1 Diabetes

• Responsible for establishing public outreach with T1D families, community leaders and volunteers through media and government relations and community development activities • Functioning as an interactive hub of resources for the T1D community by delivering bags of hope, connecting families with support groups and consulting from personal experience• Fundraised $3 million in donations for the fiscal year of 2018 • Established relationships with major partners such as Boston Children’s Hospital, Joslin Diabetes Center, Hasbro (Rhode Island) and Camp Surefire • Oversees and coordinates with Outreach Volunteers for multiple events including: TypeOneNation, JDRF OneWalk, T1D Connections Program, One Night Gala, and Community Engagement

• Speaker at various JDRF Charity events all across the United States and Canada with children and parents about living and coping with Type 1 diabetes.• Keynote speaker with Michigan’s 32nd JDRF Promise Ball in Detroit, Michigan.• Contributed to raising $1.6 million with JDRF Metro-Detroit/Southeast Chapter during their 32nd Promise Ball.• Engaged with the larger East Lansing, Michigan community through its T1D awareness walk, alongside Mark Dantonio – a JDRF honorary chairman, where I delivered a speech and participated in the walk.• Participated in JDRF Children’s Congress of 2015 and 2017. Where I was invited as a celebrity panelist• Attended and helped lead Children’s Congress’s first “Homeroom” initiative, where parents, children, and Capitol Hill delegates were able to discuss policies regarding T1D• Invited and participated in Lexington’s JDRF Walk Kickoff as keynote speaker

•Maintained safety and security of all scholars under care• Helped scholars build life management and coping skills to handle daily needs and specific stressors• Documented behaviors, treatments and non-compliance issues• Met with parents to resolve conflicting educational priorities and issues• Operated morning Warrior Program for scholars with discipline issues integrated with coping skills and positive reinforcement of rules and regulations

• I helped customers help find anything they were looking for, from basketball to kayaking. I also moved heavy supplies and merchandise when needed, basketball rims, gun safes, kayaks, ping pong tables, and etc

• My role and responsibilities as a personal trainer were to put together a plan with clients for them to become more physically fit, so they would be able to live a better and healthier lifestyle

• Most important being accountable. This ranges from workouts, study tables, classes, film sessions, practices, and games. Always going that extra mile when no one is looking.
