I am an interdisciplinary environmental educator, communicator, and researcher, focusing on applied science and climate change. My research focus is on climate narratives, climate fiction, and the behavioral effects of stories, but I am fascinated by everything from wildland fire to fungal networks to esoteric poetry.I thrive in an environment that lets me balance intellectual rigor and hands-on application, and I love pairing complex and critical conversations with tangible, hands-in-the-dirt work. I find great comfort and joy in working to directly address some of the most pressing environmental issues we face, believe this tangible work can be one of the most powerful ways to gather a community around an issue.I am also a writer (although don't ask me to pick any single genre) and work as an editor, research and writing coach, and proofreader.Ultimately, though, the world is full of skills to learn, people to meet, and experiences to be had. I'm excited to see where the next turn takes me!
