I made trips to the field to evaluate NRCS designed practices such as flood control dams, pit ponds, waterways, terraces, and more. I assisted in the surveying of such practices and assisted with the conservation efforts of the agency in helping people help the land.

I learned the purpose and mission of the NRCS and assisted the conservationists, technicians, and engineers in their duties to conserve natural resources (soil and water).
