I have the daily opportunity to solve new technical problems that are found from user feedback or personal discoveries as a part of the IT Architecture Team. My work is focused on owning and enhancing the CI/CD automation strategies that are implemented by the team. With this responsibility, I have had the opportunity to lead INVISTA's migration to GitHub while revitalizing the automation scripts we previously used for enhanced speed and security scanning with GitHub Actions. I also have the opportunity to design React frontends and NestJS API backends for use by other coworkers to improve their day-to-day work processes. In between these responsibilities, I am a leader in INVISTA's Developer Community of Practice, a group of developers that meets monthly with the focus of improving the company-wide technical practices that we implement.

I had the opportunity to help introduce and explain foundational Computer Science concepts and practices to approximately over 100 students during my time in this role. At the same time, I was able to provide feedback and guidance to students on topics where they lacked comprehension through non-technical analogies; a skill that took advantage of my minors in Psychology and Leadership Studies.

In this role I worked with the Architecture Team within INVISTA. These work included the responsibility of documenting and proposing a digital signage solution that could be compliant with the security requirements present at this location. The solution proposed and accepted is anticipated to reduce cost from the previous solution by at least 75% of the original solution's cost. Other responsibilities included working with coworkers to code and troubleshoot solutions that would be implemented using either docker containers or through AWS depending on the project.

I led small group discussions with 10 other students who are enrolled in LEAD 212. These discussions were centered on knowledge of one's self, the different leadership styles, and how to apply this knowledge through community involvement. My tasks centered around planning and facilitating these conversations for two classes each week while also maintaining communication with students regarding class plans, assignment grades, and any other information that could impact their involvement in the course.
