    The HP Digital Product Marketing group recently requested that I be their primary consultant from Astadia after nearly 4 years consulting with HP as a lead architect and thought leader on the HP.com Cleansheet and HP Experience projects.With numerous engagements and priorities lined up and critical deadlines approaching, such as the very important HP Discover event held annually, they were excited and ambitious to get started, and so we have!Having been a key architect behind many of the mission critical frameworks, services, and design patterns that comprise the highly complex -- Tridion CMS, JAVA J2EE Web Application, and .Net Templating -- environment that powers HP.com, my in depth knowledge and experience allows me to ensure delivery of innovative software solutions with no-compromise quality, maximum re-use, and enterprise scalable performance.On June 10, in only 6 weeks and just in time for Discover 2013, we went live with the all new "HP Meet the Experts" site: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/business-services/meet-the-experts/index.htmlThe new Meet the Experts site is completely re-written and implemented as a fully dynamic site with AJAX responsiveness and performance. It includes complete faceted navigation, SOA data services, SEO optimizations, global scalability with translations, and clean separation of data model from presentation. In addition, it is completely configurable from within their Tridion CMS environment -- so published changes to the Experts data or Page configuration result in instant changes to the site and SOA data services, without any ongoing dependency on JAVA releases!After meet the experts I continued to work closely with marketing management to add significant new dynamic capabilities to their HP Flex 2.0 framework leveraging all of the fundamental work already done including no dependency on ongoing JAVA releases. But now providing extremely powerful dynamic content querying capabilities on any page built on Flex 2.0.

    I provided technical and thought leadership on the HP.com Cleansheet project developing the new HP.com Homepage experience, Products experience, Newsroom, Enterprise Business Solutions, etc. across 80+ countries worldwide running on 250+ load balanced web servers with Akamai regional caching services.For "Products Experience", I helped lead the team responsible for delivering the most technically challenging part of the new HP.com website. With an AJAX front end for the web site, Java service layer, Microsoft FAST search engine, and extremely customizeable Tridion CMS system in the back-end we are able to serve millions of product data combinations while meeting strict performance requirements. The result also included creation of HP's first SOA enterprise wide single point of integration for Product content that aggregates data from 9+ disparate back-end systems with near real-time updates.The front-end web application was a J2EE Java application with an enterprise scalable SOA web application built upon Spring framework with aspect oriented enterprise caching. The web application integrated tightly with the Tridion CMS/Broker database as the back-end management system for content. The back-end was a highly customizeable combination of the Tridion CMS publishing engine and a set of develpment frameworks and Tridion templating development patterns that I provided critical thought leadership to develop. The out-of-the box thinking and innovative solutions I delivered enabled the HP implementation of the Tridion CMS system to do things that many told us were never possible and no other implementation has yet achieved!
