As a Fire Program Manager at Parks Canada, I contribute to the protection and conservation of Canada's natural and cultural heritage. I work with a team of dedicated and experienced professionals to plan, coordinate, and implement fire management activities, such as prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, and fire ecology monitoring.I have a strong background and passion for forestry and wildfire, which I developed through my education and previous work experiences. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick and two diplomas in Forest Technology and Fish and Wildlife Technology from the Maritime College of Forest Technology. I also have multiple certifications and skills in tree identification, forest inventory, and wildfire management. Before becoming a Fire Program Manager, I worked as a an Assistant Fire Management Officer, Wildfire Technician and Wildfire Crew Leader at Parks Canada, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in wildfire operations, safety, and prevention.My goal is to further my career in the wildfire and forest management fields, and to continue learning and growing as a professional. I enjoy working in a dynamic and challenging environment, where I can apply my skills and expertise to support the conservation and restoration of Canada's ecosystems. I am also motivated by the opportunity to collaborate with diverse and talented colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, and to share my passion and enthusiasm for Canada's natural and cultural heritage.
