I am an individual that is passionate about treating others with compassion and understanding. Growing up with a heart condition, I was often in and out of hospitals and doctors offices. Every nurse or doctor that I met, showered me and my family with compassion. I plan to carry forth this quality in public and my future career because it is important to show that you care even if nobody else does. The ability to understand that every human being has their own story is equally important. When my mother passed away from breast cancer, I was in a dark place. Nobody tried to understand what I might be feeling and often ignored me. As a student supervisor and attendant for UCLA Events and Transportation for three years, I strived to show each customer compassion and understanding to their situation. I made sure to help them to the best of my abilities and not give up on them.
