I started off as an operator at a automotive injection molding factory and was intrigued with the environment and the equipment I utilized daily. My hunger for knowledge in my environment grew and I grew quick within my company. As I moved off the floor and into the technical positions, I was exposed to technology that was fascinating. The factory I worked for partnered with Texas State technical college to offer an opportunity for employees to earn degrees pertaining to our field. I jumped at the opportunity offered , working nights at the factory while attending afternoon classes. After all the hard work and long hours I achieved my A.A.S in industrial engineering & manufacturing. After a few years as lead maintenance technician I found myself in the position of production supervisor. I was responsible for overseeing the entire third shift operation including production , quality, automation , and maintenance teams. In this position I was taught manufacturing practices such as 5s, fifo, lean manufacturing, & Tps principles to help me grow in management. The great thing about manufacturing, you never stop growing, learning , and improving.
