• Assess Engineering aspects of high level developments against various codes & guides including; City Plan 2014, AustRoads, Standard Drawings and best engineering practice, forwarding expert advice onto Councils planning teams to ensure quality outcomes for the City, Council, residents and the applicants. • Act as assessment manager for Operational Works and Compliance Assessment applications. Provide recommendations to Council’s Delegates for final decision. Types of applications include; reviewing Construction Management Plans, Stormwater & Drainage Design, Filling & Excavation, Erosion & Sediment Control and Traffic/ Roads and Drainage.• Assess a range of applications from low to medium risk while also providing input and working closely with senior staff for high-risk applications. Applications include a large variety from minor excavation and filling operational works, 1 into 2 ROLs up to City CBD towers and large lot subdivisions.• Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholder may be other Council divisions or Branches, colleagues within my immediate team, members of planning teams, other specialist services, Councillor Offices while external stakeholders may be consultants, developers or members of the public. • Participate in team meetings providing guidance to other immediate team members in areas of my expertise while encouraging an open and progressive environment with the team.
