I have extensive management and administrative experience of over 11 years, with 5+ years’ experience in student services and instructional environments. I am knowledgeable, experienced, and adept at creating outreach opportunities that enhance business goals, and with current writing tutoring pedagogy and student mentoring, lectures, and learning strategies. I am a skillful public speaker that works well in both classroom or large group environments, and on an individual basis. I have a personal passion for literature and creative writing. I wrote a thesis novel published by California State University East Bay and have had numerous short stories and poetry published in literary magazines, primarily in The Chabot Review (2014, 2015, and 2016). My first novel, The Undoubtedly True Narrative of the Yetiman—an adaptation of my thesis novel—was published in March 2020 through Kindle Direct Publishing. My short story collection Release the Kaizen!: Stories and Poems from an Evolving Writer was published in March 2021 through Kindle Direct Publishing. Career-wise I have a passion for student improvement and in creating an atmosphere of success where students can become self-directed lifelong learners. My past experience in building programs and activities that assist the ever-evolving journey of academic progress has been both rewarding and fulfilling in many ways. I took advantage of these programs in my own academic studies and want to be a part of that same environment in any way to give back to those who could also benefit.
