On 30 June 2022, I officially retired from the United States Marine Corps with 18+ yrs of honor military service and have begun my new career as a Project Manager with a great employee owned company with a vision towards the future in renewable energy; Ulteig Engineering, INC. I could not be more excited for this daily opportunity to work with great individuals and to share and grow my experiences and knowledge in new areas. My previously held positions have afforded me with opportunities to grow, develop, expand and refine my leadership abilities, management skills, critical thinking/analyses, and much more; now they are the building blocks for the civilian sector's tests and I am ready. As any plan is only as good until first contact with an outside force, so was my plan for future employment. Originally I wanted to go straight into the construction field as a Project Manager. However, I have gladly pivoted my plans, without hesitation, to a career field more focused on future energy sustainment and improvement. Not totally outside of the construction world, but more focused on the future and reliability of energy production, sustainment, and advancement. I am thrilled with my decision, as this is an area of our daily lives that has continued to interest me more and more over the more recent years.Personally enjoy the following – family; woodworking; construction/remodeling; mechanical repairs; camping; hiking; walking; beach; mountains; cooking; working out/physical activities; sports; marksmanship; self-learning/education. Desire to design and build own family residence. Growing interest in construction innovations and technologies, especially in self-sustainment/self-reliance building and living practices and opportunities.
