The Building Better Communities Foundation (BBCF) is an American charitable nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization established in California in 2012. Our programs focus on child nutrition through all ages, and specifically seek to address the nationwide of problem of childhood obesity and child food insecurity. As a community support organization, BBCF assists children, local organizations and educational institutions in challenged communities which are uniquely affected by these issues. We have also partnered with local Food Banks in our served areas to provide nutritional assistance to not only the children, but to their families as well. Although BBC was formed from a recognition of immediate need in Central California, it became apparent the need extended beyond our community and to similar children, communities and organizations facing similar circumstances across this Nation. BBC's team members are a variety of talented, passionate and experienced professionals from a myriad of industries, including but not limited to, private industry, education, law, government, healthcare and fitness and nutrition. It is our belief that the cornerstones of a strong Nation are strong Children, the strength of our Children is borne through Proper Nutrition, and Proper Nutrition is promoted through Nutrition Education and Institutional and Community Assistance Initiatives.By working hands-on in local communities, with educators and educational institutions BBC will achieve its goal in addressing and decreasing instances of child hunger and under-nutrition in these challenged communities and in our Nation.
