Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all aspects of a 24 hour manufacturing plant with 18 forming machines, 1 plastic blender and extruder, dozens of tanks, agitators, gearboxes, motors, etc. I can mig, tig, and stick weld. I can diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. I can safely work at heights and in confined spaces.

I would remove, inspect, repair, and clean the tooling from thermoforming machines. I would safely work with heavy aluminum molds, and explored various ways of cleaning the molds for best effectiveness and time management.

In this role, I operated thermoforming machines that turned wheat pulp into various products. I learned industrial safety practices, earned forklift certification, and paid great attention to detail. I was responsible for keeping machine runtime up while also maintaining good quality output. I would perform quality checks on our product including but not limited to: visual inspection, part weight, part thickness, chemistry application, and moisture checks.

In this position, I worked irrigation, drove tractors, drove trucks, and worked a little with cattle. I would move hand lines and wheel lines, I checked pivots, I operated swather, rake tractor, baler, loader, disc, planter, etc. I hauled equipment on a 53’ trailer with a Peterbilt 379 back and forth between Pingree, Id and Mackay, Id.

I would interact with customers to help them get their vehicles serviced and repaired. I would schedule, recommend and sell services and repairs as needed. I had to coordinate with my parts department and my technicians to ensure the vehicle repair process was smooth and calculated.

In this role, I would perform a full service on vehicles. I would perform a multi point inspection, rotate tires, change engine oil and filter, and recommend additional services as needed. I would also vacuum the front passenger area, wipe down the dash and doors, and clean all windows. When we would sell a service like a differential fluid exchange, air filter, transmission fluid service, etc., then I would either perform the service or assist a technician with the service. In this role, as I had free time, I would assist the technicians in the shop. I have helped with transmission rebuilds, engine replacement, turbo replacement, alignment, turning rotors, airbag recalls, etc.

I moved water, serviced pivots, tractors, semi trucks, pickup trucks, and four wheelers. I learned how to operate forklift, drive tractor, drive semi truck, and weld while working here. I worked long hours, averaging 14 to 16 hour days from spring to fall. In the summer, I would work moving water and operating large equipment, and in the winters, I worked with cattle, drove 10 wheeler hauling manure, and drove semi truck hauling beet pulp.
