•Assist Accounts Receivable to resolve tasks assigned by customer service team via NetSuite, resulting in decreased turnaround time. Tasks include providing customer statements, reaching out for payment & initiating refunds. I collaborated with AR, customer service team lead, and warehouse manager to develop an improved RMA process to record inventory accurately & refund customers within 48 hours of goods being returned – down from a 5-day average.•Review & initiate weekly check run. Alleviated this responsibility from the Controller, which resulted in vendors being paid in a timelier manner. I coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure that Bill.com & NetSuite books match, necessary approvals are obtained, all available credits are applied, & maintain an average of $150k in weekly payments are sent to vendors – including POs/IRs. •Generate weekly reporting to the executive team via Excel, PowerPoint, & Domo. Using a spreadsheet & slide deck that I redesigned to be more understandable, I gather various figures weekly - including revenue, COGS, & expense data (period-over-period) to track the company’s financials & report to the executive team. Included in these numbers are investments that I oversee deposits to & report on their weekly/lifetime growth. •Ownership of entire month-end closing process, reducing the average closing timeline from 25 days to 10 days. By training employees I was able to reduce workload across the department & grow accounting knowledge for my team members. My responsibilities included managing Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accruals, multiple cash accounts (including company purchase cards), and researching monthly variances across the Balance Sheet & Income Statement. •Create & maintain monthly Budget to Actual reports that are distributed to department heads after the month is closed. I gather all monthly numbers and supporting individual transactions, then review their budget with them monthly to discuss/enter any necessary corrections.

• Reconciled appraisal escrow account monthly and was able to bring item count down from 148 items to 28 within 3 months. This task required driving and coordinating efforts between multiple departments, which resulted in the lowest item count in 5 years.• Implemented SAP Concur for all employee reimbursements, which decreased processing time from 10 to 4 days for payment. Concur was also used to track all company credit card usage, which I reconciled each month as well as gather support for all transactions.• Managed all payment requests across all departments (checks & wires), which involved payee verification. My rapport & quick responses to these requests earned me recognition as a ‘top performer’ by management, and I was selected to attend the company awards trip, which is reserved for high performing employees.• Accomplished multi-year reconciliation of Fixed Assets + Prepaids in subledger software (BNA). Designed new processes for maintaining accurate record keeping, reporting, & posting of depreciation for over $15MM worth of assets across Balance Sheet accounts.• Performed monthly reconciliations for escrow, cash, balance sheet, and expense accounts as part of month end process. Worked directly with Controller to research any variances & post necessary corrections. Findings were summarized and delivered to CFO to be used for financial reporting & decision making. Additional reporting was completed for all audit related inquiries, including the year-end financial audit.•Reviewed branch-specific reports along with Branch Managers & provided needed information on figures + post any correcting Journal Entries for all locations.

• Tested and designed new franchisee payment method for upgraded in-house accounting system by working with a team of top-performing franchisees, IT team, and global CFO.• Managed bi-weekly royalty payments to 200+ franchisees in the US & Canada. Royalty was deducted from customer receipts, then paid via bank uploads ($15M annually). I created all payments & conducted reconciliation before sending for CFO approval.• Processed weekly payments to vendors ($40M annually) via in-house accounting system as well as QuickBooks. Negotiated discount terms and saved over $25k per year.• Hosted weekly training calls with all franchisees regarding their payments as well as understanding their Profit & Loss statements. Additionally, I was trusted with presenting our financial process to all new & incoming franchisees during the onboarding process.• Worked closely with the Canadian Revenue Agency to file quarterly/yearly HST + GST (Provincial + National) returns for our franchise and corporate locations in Canada.• Provided numerous year-end reporting & supporting documentation for auditors. Audited financials were then published in the current Franchise Disclosure Document each year.
