A design and technical trainee, where I worked on the development of underground tunnels and MRT stations for line 2 of the Klang Valley Mass Rail Transit (KVMRT) project. It spans over 13.5km, consisting of 11 underground stations beginning with Sentul West to Bandar Malaysia South.During the 8 weeks of practical training as a mechanical design and technical trainee:- Worked on mechanical systems, such as: Environmental Control Systems, Fire Protection and Safety, Public Health (Cold Water, Drainage, Sanitary) TUnnel Ventilation Systems, and Lift and Escalators.- Worked on AutoCAD drawings for tunnel brackets, analyzing and selecting suitable dimensions for the given tunnel bracket in order to support heavy-duty cabling in underground tunnels- Utilised Microsoft Excel to process data, such as, the delivery dates of mechanical parts, the duration of work for a specific part of the station and also its completion.- Validate outdated and updated documents and extract information from large tender documents- Reviewed engineering drawings from the partner engineering consultancy for mechanical systems stated above, prior to its submission as a tender. Reviewing and amending calculations for cold water systems and fire protection systems.
