The Global Commodity Manager position is responsible for the procurement strategies for Cooper B-Line division for all steel and aluminum raw materials including extrusion, sheet, and coils for multiple manufacturing sites in IL, TX, NV, MA, Alberta CA, and Saudi Arabia.Responsibilities include:1. Understand the cost drivers for both of these materials internationally and domestically in order to create a strategy around where/when/how to purchase. 2. Source steel and aluminum suppliers globally 3. Communicate with senior management and financial team costs compared to budgets/YOY/market indexes and impact of current market conditions4. Support New product development in determining sources and supply chains5. Support re-engineering of products to drive cost out
