Member of the Recommendations and Discovery Team at Netflix. Responsible for handling home frontpage row generation optimized such that it is ranked and sorted best to reflect interests for a given user. Examples of our product include the "Trending Now", "For You", and "Continue Watching" rows.

Worked as a member of the Server Platform Team to actively build and design the new generation of server architecture at LinkedIn - AVES (A Very Efficient Server) and WAVES (Web-AVES), as well as spearheading the migration of all LinkedIn apps to use it. This involved developing solutions for the entirety of the web stack, including handling of HTTP and networking layers. In addition to work made on developing the server infra in general, I more specifically was the lead developer for security and authorization.This lead to (at time of my leaving) performance gains in RPS (requests per second) throughput, drastic decreases in CPU load, and a reduction in memory utilization. Ultimately this lead to our migrated consumers experiencing a cost savings of 20~30%.

Worked as a member of the integrity experimentation team at FB/Meta to support our AI and ML teams. Worked primarily as a fullstack engineer developing an all in one ecosystem for Facebook's data scientists and researchers to conduct experiments. This included creating the React frontend, writing data pipelines for user sampling, writing the backend processing and A/B testing methodology, and synthesizing and providing data for our consumers models. Role involved heavy collaboration with the various ML and AI teams at Facebook to support their development of new ML models to automatically detect integrity violations.

Lead the initiative on creating a brand new orchestration platform for the Secured Card product and Mainstreet banking as a whole based on a similar concept to AirBnB’s “Airflow”. This included designing Spring Boot Java APIs deployed to ECS clusters, rebuilding a multitude of older ECS services as Golang Lambdas, creating multiple Postgres DBs for storage and records, revamping the existing logging system into a now company wide uniform standard, developing a CICD pipeline, crafting a large suite of automatic testing infrastructure, as well as architecting a solution for integration with an internal Streaming Data Platform based on Kafka.

Built, owned, and supported from the ground up a new application to assist our internal teams efforts in security and accessibility. Used a multitude of AWS components (ECS, Lambda, EMR, Route53) and personally created build pipeline tools to empower Java, Python, and Shell script applications. Acted as sole owner of product post completion for 6 months until user teams had been trained in it’s use and could take over it’s support.

Discovered new means of interacting with and engaging clients through upcoming technologies, frameworks, and techniques. High focus on doing something “new” in relation to the financial world’s use of technology. Presented over the projects built with these tools and methodologies in the hopes of leading charge towards the future.
