Serving as lead analyst, classifying and treating hazardous waste to ensure that Veolia remains compliant with Ontario Regulation 347, Transportation of Dangerous Good and the Environmental Protection Agency. This also requires calibration of instruments in the laboratory to ensure proper testing.Providing technical assistance to clients and Veolia staff in regards to chemical, environmental and regulatory matters. Responsible for managing the laboratory, collecting, analyzing and disposing of samples. Also responsible for maintaining records of all incoming and outgoing samples. Communicating with clients, coordinating with them and organizing waste removal from their location. Coordinating and directing projects with consultants and clients, including registering the clients on HWIN, classifying their waste, building quotes for work required and on-site packing of waste and completing projects in a professional and timely manner.Acting as a main contact point for clients and the city of Ottawa, providing resolutions to operational issues.Note observations and make recommendations to management based on results received from testing.Treating of waste water received at the Ottawa location, coordinating with the City of Ottawa by providing them with updates to treatment processes, discharge reports and quarterly updates and responding to any questions or concerns raised by the city.Serving in a supporting role to Business Development by assisting in the preparation of estimates and planning and scheduling of projects.
