I am responsible for the teams and modeling for ODEC's load forecast and power supply planning models, both in the medium term (prompt month out to five years) as well as the long term modeling which reaches out thirty years. These models and their corresponding results are used for a number of planning functions including the development of our natural gas and power hedging strategy, monthly updates to forecasted energy revenues and costs, internal carbon intensity and renewable energy strategic goals, the compliance and evaluation of existing, new, and proposed regulations (environmental, state/regional/federal energy policy, etc), as well as the development of our annual "Future Resources for Energy and Demand" report (commonly referred to in the industry as integrated resource planning).
