About Brandon Pierce
20 years of IT experience in Routing and Switching as well as voice over IP and telepresence. I currently hold a US Government secret security clearance. I am the "go-to" person for both General Dynamics Mission Systems and the other side of the contract under a different company for anything Route/Switch related. I have been requested when the entire university testing center network was down and solved the solution quickly when hours were used prior to my arrival. Design, configuration, troubleshooting, management, and instruction are all my fields of expertise within the Route/Switch, voice over IP and telepresence arena. I hold many certifications that are constantly re-certified to remain competent. I receive full positive feedback with yearly reviews exceeding the standard, and have received monetary awards as appreciation. While I am not currently looking for opportunities, my goal in my professional life is to become a manager in IT and/or to become a full-time professor at a university with my Master's degree.I have written 2 CCNA courses for the academy, 2 Network+ courses, a revised basic networking and switching course, and an advanced routing course. I've also helped develop and engineer tactical network labs for sustainment training within my organization. These courses developed involved advanced virtualization, VRF, firewalls, PBX systems, layer 3 switching, DMVPN tunnels, and hardware encryption. Between course development, mentoring others, and instructing soldiers, I am busy and proficient in my trade.Lastly, I have helped lead the team forward and make significant progress with the tactical warfighter training program. I have developed, tested, and successfully implemented new classroom labs, install new classrooms for future teaching capacity, managed and maintained assets that exceed 7 figures, and coordinate tactical training.
