Independent Apparel Sales Representative
CurrentLeverage strong understanding of retail business and products to consult key buyers at national mid-tier department stores on effective product merchandising and marketing. Advise key leaders on apparel industry best practices, sales strategies, marketing plan development, forecasting, processes and procedures for buying large orders from large manufacturers in Asia.• Build and maintain lucrative industry relationships, representing and establishing numerous manufacturers as vendors with wide-ranging national mid-tier department stores and specialty accounts. • Convert large orders for various manufacturer brands, ensuring excellent customer service and account management to ensure brand loyalty and repeat business. • Partner with Marketing departments to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, and to design and deploy effective selling tools and promotional materials. • Collaborate with Production departments on efficient product development, timely production, and EDI operations. • Oversee order production, packaging and shipment, ensuring adherence with service level agreement (SLA).• Communicate regularly with key accounts, providing updated data on selling performance.• Report sales trends and opportunities for improvement to Design department.
