Started as a basic parts person, about 8 months later was promoted to a parts lead position. From here I monitor the two parts team members under me, coordinate with the Service Supervisor regarding parts for the shop, maintain and help with warehouse duties as they arise, look after and review inventory, inventory counts and returns for shop and customers. Keep an eye on customer accounts and accounting data. I also coordinate orders with our inventory specialist, and coordinate orders and transfer between branches. I will, if needed, go to other branches and assist with their warehouse tasks, projects, and staff shortages.Every team member also shares an on call rotation as well.

Started as a service writer in the automotive center, from there worked up into a Service Manager position. Looked after 3 journeyman, minimum 6 tire/oil/lube technicians, as well as multiple service writers. Looked after schedules, shop supplies, shop equipment, shop cleanliness, shop maintenance, and dealt with both positive and negative customer experiences. I also reviewed weekly, monthly and annual numbers to go over overall performance, rankings versus other stores, and identify weak spots where as a business we could improve on.I also cross trained on tires and other small tasks so that in the case of short staff or peak periods I could jump in and help where I was needed.

Start when I was 18 with no skills. Learned how to frame, drywall, mud and tape, sand, prime and paint, baseboard and moulding, decking, siding, and a large focus on flooring. After awhile I was handed a company truck and did a variety of jobs on my own, as well as with a small team. Assisted in training new hires as well.

In this position I worked a variety of shifts, from day runs, night time runs, out of town runs and multi day runs. Sometimes you were the driver and guard for the custodian. Most days I was the custodian, in charge of transport of the valuable goods in and out of branches, the paperwork for that day detailing and keeping track of all the orders that day, as well as working on and service multiple kinds of bank machines.
