I am one that believes that through effort anyone can learn anything and excel in whatever field they choose. It's all about how hard and how dedicated you are to what you're doing. That is something that I feel like I learned through my life. I am an eagle scout, I have volunteered in and lived in the Dominican Republic and in Central Washington for two years and through my dedication in these settings of my life, I have learned Spanish and gotten my eagle scout. Something that I value is the importance of unity in the work place. One of my previous jobs I was doing junk removal. Doesn't seem like a very glamorous job but, I enjoyed it because I was very well accepted and included in the family nature that they had there, and because of that family atmosphere everyone was more willing to work hard, not because of the pay, or because of the fear of getting fired, but because they cared enough and wanted to be a part of the growth in the company. So I would love to take that towards psychology as well. To grow those relationships with clients and the coworkers around me. I love getting to know people and helping others reach their goals and feel successful has always been something that I have loved to see. In high school and in college I was the captain of our mens club volleyball teams. I truly enjoyed helping teammates grow their skills and their love for the sport not only through the physical training but their mental game as well. I would love to continue doing that.
