Investment Analyst
Current•Member of the firm’s investment research team, with a focus on private equity funds and managers. •Work to identify top tier private equity firms across a variety of investment strategies including: Buyout, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Credit, Distressed, Infrastructure, and Real Assets.•Meet with fund general partners and analyze potential investment opportunities and existing investment relationships. •Compile and disseminate notes which provide background on the general partner of a fund, a synopsis of their investment strategy, deal examples, and an opinion regarding the attractiveness of the opportunity. •Create and update profiles on private equity funds for distribution to clients to help them in their investment decision making process.•Gather and present industry and macroeconomic data to be used in deciding the risk versus reward attractiveness of differing investment strategies.•Oversee Monticello’s private equity performance tracking program including initial gathering and entry of since inception cash flows and valuations, creating client reports, interpreting results for consultants and clients, and maintaining information integrity on an ongoing basis. •Maintain Monticello’s proprietary database of over 6,000 private equity funds, sourced from inbound inquires and third party data providers. •Complete additional projects as requested to help consultants and clients in their investment decision making process.•In prior role as a performance analyst, created a system to automatically populate quarterly client reports greatly improving efficiency within the performance department. Also, created capital market line exhibits which were adopted and widely used in client reports.
